Mitchell Steinberg is Ruby Creek Design’s founder, owner, and principal web technologist. His career includes 20 years in the high-technology industry where he has worked as a software and hardware designer, an engineering manager and director for a Fortune 500 company, and vice president of engineering for a small consulting company that he cofounded.

Mitchell has earned degrees in psychology from the University of Utah and engineering from M.I.T. and currently holds ten patents.

The web design process merges a number of his interests and skills. His psychology degree helps in understanding the usability issues that web users face and how to design a satisfying user experience, and his engineering and technology background is well suited to understanding how to translate conceptual requirements and design into a functional and polished end product.

After the realization that his work life was too often reminiscent of a Dilbert cartoon, Mitchell decided to forgo the corporate lifestyle, move to the sunny southwest, and founded Ruby Creek Design.

Mitchell currently resides in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his wife, Jeannie, and their dogs, Ollie and Jasmine, and tries to get out and mountain bike whenever the realities of life allow.
